Kyoto City is home to 38 universities and junior colleges, and is home to 145,000 students, or about 10% of the population. In order to utilize the “accumulation of university education and research results” and “student vitality,” which can be said to be Kyoto’s assets, to solve local issues and revitalize local issues, and to create opportunities for students to learn and grow through involvement with local communities, we have implemented the “Gakumachi Collaboration Project” to support the efforts of seminar units and student groups.

University COC Project
From the 2013 academic year, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) will collaborate with local governments to form a university that will be the core of regional revitalization and revitalization, and will support universities that promote university-wide education, research, and regional contribution.
COC+
From the 2015 academic year, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has developed the “University COC Project” and collaborated with local governments and companies to create attractive employment opportunities for students, and to support the efforts of universities to reform the educational curriculum necessary to develop the human resources sought after by the region.
