The application period for the 2023 course “What is necessary for modern human assistance: Generating new areas and issues” has been extended.
Please take this opportunity to apply.

I think we are becoming a society that is difficult to live in. In response to this, a variety of practical and clinical initiatives are being promoted as a social issue to realize human well-being and happiness. In fields that are traditionally divided into occupational areas, such as medical care, nursing, education, psychology, welfare, and the judiciary, there is an increasing need for multidisciplinary collaboration and collaborative efforts. In the academic dimension as well, there are challenges in new areas. We will integrate it as “interpersonal assistance” and learn from the knowledge of the front line that explores human potential. It is the development of knowledge where practice, academia, and clinical practice intersect. Broaden the horizons of professionals. We are looking forward to taking this course if you are a professional who continues to learn.

About the 20th National University Consortium Research Exchange Forum

Business Overview

In order to contribute to the development of higher education, we exchange information on the initiatives and research results of each university consortium.

Outline of the event

theme

Creating a sustainable community through a university consortium
~Aiming to create new value with an eye on the post-corona era~

Purpose of the Tournament

Today, universities and other institutions of higher education are playing a variety of roles, not only in research, educating young people, and producing human resources, but also as “bases of knowledge” that create innovation and as a leader in local culture.
On the other hand, in order to respond to the mounting issues such as the declining birthrate and aging society, global environmental problems, new coronavirus infections, and the shift to a digital society, and to create a sustainable society, it is believed that it can only be realized through exchanges involving the local community, not only with higher education institutions alone, but also with various entities such as higher education institutions, government, and industry.
Therefore, the purpose of this forum is to consider the various forms of collaboration in which the university consortium has been involved in order to create a sustainable community in the future, and to look ahead to the future of the university consortium with the aim of creating new value in the post-corona era.

2. Location

Online (Zoom meeting) *Zoom meeting URL will be sent to the applicant at a later date.

3. Contents of the report

(1) Research on the role of inter-university collaborative organizations in supporting students with disabilities at universities and other institutions

Summary of Research Academic support for students with disabilities (reasonable accommodations in education, etc.) is an important issue for each university, but at present, there is no small difference in the status of initiatives. On the other hand, due to the nature of the field that is in a transitional period, there is a limit to the accumulation of expertise, know-how, resources, etc. that can be handled by each university alone, so we believe that a scheme in which each university and other institutions work together to solve problems is effective.
The purpose of this research is to investigate and research the efforts of inter-university collaboration organizations to promote support for students with disabilities at each university.
Principal Investigator Kyoto University Student Services Organization Associate Professor Jun Murata

(2) Research on the actual state of long-term community collaboration activities by university students and local organizations in Kyoto City and how to support them

Summary of Research This study objectively clarifies the actual situation of long-term community collaboration activities between university students and local organizations in Kyoto City, and examines how universities and related organizations involved in these activities should provide support in the future.
Specifically, through questionnaires, we will identify student organizations (seminars and university-approved organizations) that are engaged in long-term community collaboration activities in Kyoto City, and clarify the factors and issues that led to the establishment of these organizations in the community, mainly through interviews. In addition, while learning from the knowledge of advanced experiences from all over the country, we will consider the role that universities and their affiliated organizations should play and how to effectively support university students who are engaged in ongoing community collaboration activities.
Principal Investigator Kyoto Tachibana University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, Assistant Professor Masayuki Ota
