【Kyoto Student Festival】Students will cool off with water in the hot city of Kyoto!

Kyoto Student Festival KYO-SENSE Project (Eco Activities) will be held!
Why don’t you try sprinkling water with students and international students?

This summer, the Kyoto Student Festival will hold the KYO-SENSE project “Uchimizu” as part of its eco-activities.
This year, it will be held at all three venues: the Fushimi area, the Okazaki area, and the second pre-event “Anniversary Festa in Kyoto Station Building & Porta”.
Local characters (Sumito-kun, Hikari-chan, and Eko-chan) will also come to each venue to support you, and under the supervision of experts, we will measure the effect, and we will prepare projects unique to students!
Why don’t you cool off Kyoto in the summer with students and international students wearing yukata robes?

【We are looking for international students! 】 】
Why don’t you wear a yukata and sprinkle water together?

We look forward to seeing you internationally!

What is the “KYO-SENSE Project”?

While learning from the traditional culture that leads to Kyoto, we will review the environment from our daily lives.
It is an eco-activity initiative from the Kyoto Student Festival that proposes a new lifestyle.
We have been active since 2008. The “KYO” in “KYO-SENSE” inherits the tradition of “Kyoto”,
It means that industry, academia, the public, and the local community will “cooperate” by learning from the new technologies of today.
In addition, “SENSE” contains the meaning of the “sensitivity” of young people who studied in Kyoto and live today.
The main focus of these initiatives is to combine wisdom and sensitivity to address environmental issues.
The activities of the “KYO-SENSE” project were highly evaluated.
It has been certified as an eco-event by Kyoto City.

The 15th Kyoto Student Festival will be held on Sunday, August 27 at the Kyoto Student Festival 15th Anniversary Festa in Kyoto Station Building & Porta.

With the decision to fully relocate the Agency for Cultural Affairs to Kyoto, the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee hopes to revitalize Kyoto by encouraging the younger generation to learn about Kyoto’s culture in their daily activities, incorporating it into their plans with a student-like interpretation, and widely disseminating Kyoto’s student culture at events.

The Kyoto Station Building and the underground shopping mall Porta in front of Kyoto Station are visited not only by people living in Kyoto, but also by many people from other prefectures and even overseas. By disseminating the “charm of Kyoto culture” and “the charm of student culture” in such a place, we will promote the Kyoto Student Festival scheduled to be held on October 8.

【2016】 Survey on Growth through the Activities of the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee II Report Released

The report of the “Survey on Growth through the Activities of the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee II” conducted in 2016 will be published on the following page.
The activities of the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee are unique in that they are extracurricular activities conducted in cooperation with the society at Intercollegiate. In a survey conducted in 2015, we quantitatively and qualitatively, subjectively, and objectively analyzed how the students of the executive committee grew as a result of these activities, and it was confirmed that the students of the student festival executive committee had significantly improved their “collaborative skills.”
This survey, which was conducted in 2016, was a continuation of the survey from 2015, and re-analyzed how students grow, and examined the effects of cooperation with the local community from the perspective of growth through intercollegiate activities, which was the theme until last year.
