【Introduction】Local cup noodles supervised by the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee were released nationwide on 2/27 (Monday)!

Kyoto Student Festival collaborates with Nissin Foods Co., Ltd.’s local cup noodles

20170213-05Supervised by the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee, Nissin Foods Co., Ltd.’s Nissin Noodle Nippon series “Kyoto Back Fat Soy Sauce Ramen” has been on sale nationwide since Monday, February 27.

The “Nissin Noodle Nippon” series has been sold by Nissin Foods Co., Ltd. as a “local noodle brand that enlivens various noodle cultures rooted in various parts of Japan together with the community” so far.

This was the first attempt to be supervised by a student group, and the finished ramen was inspired by the Kyoto ramen style of “back fat chacha ramen” and topped with Kujo green onions unique to Kyoto. Kyoto students recognize it as a true “taste of Kyoto”. It is finished in a dish that we are proud of. It is sold at convenience stores and supermarkets nationwide, so if you are interested, please try it!

◆ Development (Comment by the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee)

Approximately 100 university students who belong to the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee tasted the ramen and aimed for the taste of ramen that is unique to Kyoto from the students’ point of view. By being involved in the development of Kyoto’s local ramen, we have reaffirmed the charm of Kyoto’s ramen and the charm of Kyoto’s food culture, and the Kyoto Student Festival will convey the charm of Kyoto from a new aspect.

What is the Kyoto Student Festival?

The Kyoto Student Festival is a festival that has been held every October since 2003 in the Okazaki area of Kyoto (in front of Heian Jingu Shrine and the Okazaki Promenade) with the aim of enlivening Kyoto with the power of students and disseminating the charm of Kyoto to the whole country.
It is planned and operated mainly by students in Kyoto, and is supported by Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto City, the business community, universities, and the local community in “All Kyoto”.

2017 marks the 15th anniversary of the event.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Kyoto Student Festival. This time, we will create a new value of “Kyoto student culture” and widely disseminate its appeal while collaborating with various cultural projects with the keywords “Kyoto,” “students,” and “culture.” Event information will be released from time to time, so please visit the official website of the Kyoto Student Festival for details.

We are looking for sponsors!

At the Kyoto Student Festival, we are collaborating with companies in various ways, including the development of collaborative products such as this one. We are currently looking for sponsors for 2017, so if you are interested, please feel free to contact us.

【Thank you for the event】Report on the 14th Kyoto Student Festival ~ Kyoto Intercollegiate Festa 2016~

Thank you for holding the event

The 14th Kyoto Student Festival was successfully held on Sunday, October 9, thanks to everyone’s support and cooperation. We were worried about the weather on the day of the event, but perhaps because of the enthusiasm of the students on the executive committee, the rain stopped before 11:00 a.m., and the sun shone in the afternoon. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who came to the festival and to all those who have made efforts in various fields to hold this festival.

Event Report

The 14th Kyoto Student Festival was planned with the aim of providing as many students as possible with a place and opportunity to “fully demonstrate the potential of students,” which is the activity philosophy of the Kyoto Student Festival. In particular, this year’s festival aims to realize a “festival in which people can participate proactively” by inviting more students from various fields, including artistic fields such as fashion and art, who have not participated in the festival so far, to participate in the festival, and to contribute to the revitalization of the community by disseminating it as an attraction of Kyoto. By expanding the range of genres in this way, we planned the project with the goal of creating a unique student culture for the festival while increasing the number of collaborators, and eventually becoming the “Four Great Festivals of Kyoto” on a par with the three major festivals in Kyoto.

Kyoto Student Festival Project Overview

Students from Kyoto, who transcend the boundaries of universities, form an executive committee and engage in daily activities with the aim of disseminating “Kyoto as a student city” to society, further revitalizing the Kyoto area, and creating new attractions in collaboration with the business community, the government, the local community, and the university.
After a variety of community exchange activities throughout the year, such as the promotion of the original creative odori “Kyoen Sodefure!” and water sprinkling activities, a grand festival is held every October as the culmination of these activities.
The University Consortium Kyoto has set the goal of “student growth” in the daily activities of the Student Executive Committee, and is providing support aimed at “student independence” that allows students to think and act on their own, and supports the implementation of what has been accumulated in the course of activities since the establishment of the Executive Committee so that it can be maximized at the main festival in October.

It’s a little similar to last year’s main visual, but it’s a good design that has movement and conveys the fun of the student festival.

(2) Kyoto Prefectural Governor’s Award

siruba-

Mr./Ms. Yoshida
―Kyoto City University of Arts, 3rd Grade―

Judges’ Comments
It’s a little disappointing that you can’t expand the image as a design because it contains text, but it is an easy-to-use design that contains many elements of a student festival.

(3) Kenji Tsuruta Jury Prize

siruba-

Mr./Ms. Katsura
―Ryukoku University 4th Student―

Judges’ Comments
It is loose in a good way, and it is a design that expands the image when you look at it.

(4) University Consortium Kyoto Prize

siruba-

Mr./Ms. Mai Shimizu
―Third-year student at Kyoto University―

Judges’ Comments
It may be difficult to use because there is no movement, but it is in line with the application guidelines and has a design that is typical of a student festival.

【Finished】Kyoto Student Festival Regional Revitalization Project Started! The first event will be held on Saturday, May 21 in Fushimi!

What is a Regional Revitalization Project?

Students from Kyoto, who transcend the boundaries of universities, form an executive committee and engage in daily activities with the aim of disseminating “Kyoto as a student city” to society, further revitalizing the Kyoto area, and creating new attractions in collaboration with the business community, the government, the local community, and the university.
In fiscal 2016, under the title of “Regional Revitalization Project,” we solicited organizations (partners) that can work hand in hand with students, and selected partners. Together with these organizations, we will carry out various projects to realize the revitalization of each region of Kyoto. By connecting them to the main festival of the Kyoto Student Festival (scheduled to be held on October 9), which is the culmination of these festivals, we aim to become a festival that is more rooted in the community and loved by the people of Kyoto while demonstrating the student’s personality.
The first regional revitalization project will be held on Saturday, May 21 at Fushimi Port Park and Fushimi Otesuji Shopping Street. In addition to the performance of the Kyoto Student Festival’s original creative dance “Kyo Flame Fudeit“, there will be a fair-day project in cooperation with the local organization “Oyaji-no-kai”, and a mini train in collaboration with the Keihan Railway will appear Mr./Ms. the event. You can enjoy interaction across generations.
The University Consortium Kyoto has set the goal of “student growth” in such daily activities, and is providing support aimed at “student independence” that allows students to think and act on their own, and supports the festival in October so that what has been accumulated in the course of activities since the establishment of the executive committee can be maximized. Please come and give encouragement to the executive committee.

The Tohoku Project of the 14th Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee has begun!

What is the Tohoku Project?

Inauguration and transition of the project

touhokulogoIn 2013, two years after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, most of the students in Kyoto, including the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee, had not yet seen the actual situation in Tohoku with their own eyes. This project was launched with the desire to see and feel this unprecedented disaster by going directly to the disaster area, and to think about what they can do.
Last year, we incorporated a tour of the disaster-stricken area and a seminar from the Disaster Volunteer Center into the itinerary, and provided an opportunity to learn about the Great Japan Earthquake itself, and in order to disseminate this information to everyone Mr./Ms.in the Kyoto area, we held a report on the results of the disaster, creating an opportunity to reflect on and think about the disaster together with the Mr./Ms. of Kyoto.
tohoku1

Initiatives in Fiscal 2016

In order to bring many smiles and excitement to the local people, this visit will focus on the odori project that is popular with the local people (“Kyo Flame Fude It!” performance and exchange). After the visit, the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee will hold debriefing sessions and projects related to disaster prevention not only for the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee and its related parties, but also for the people of the Kyoto area, so that more people will have an opportunity to remember the Great Japan Earthquake, and the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee will prevent the earthquake from fading into society in the Kyoto area and raise awareness of disaster prevention.
In addition, we will conduct fundraising activities for the Kumamoto earthquake out of a desire to support Mr./Ms. who were affected by the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred in April 2016. We aim to connect the circle of support for those affected by the Kumamoto earthquake from Tohoku to Kumamoto via Kyoto, and to raise awareness of disaster prevention in the Kyoto area.

Three Significance of the Project

    1. We will deliver the energy and smiles of Kyoto students directly to the local people, and strive for continuous emotional exchange with Kyoto students.
    2. By directly seeing, hearing, and feeling the Great East Japan Earthquake on site, we will lead to the personal growth of Kyoto students.
    3. By disseminating what we felt and learned in Tohoku in Kyoto, we will prevent the disaster from fading.

Outline of the Tohoku Project

1. Pre-study session

schedule Sunday, April 17, 2016
place Campus Plaza Kyoto Lecture Room 3
participant 90 people (Kyo Flame Sodefure!) Odorite and Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee)
purpose

Share knowledge about the current situation of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Be aware of where the interests of the students participating in the project lie, and use this as motivation to investigate. (The feeling of thinking about Tohoku, the feeling of wanting to know. )
Begin to mentally prepare for the Tohoku region. (After knowing and thinking about various things, what can I do?) )

【Finished】Kyoto Student Festival 2016 Regional Revitalization Project Call for Affiliated Organizations

Business Overview

Students from Kyoto, who transcend the boundaries of universities, form an executive committee and engage in daily activities with the aim of disseminating “Kyoto as a student city” to society, further revitalizing the Kyoto area, and creating new attractions in collaboration with the business community, the government, the local community, and the university.
After a variety of community exchange activities throughout the year, such as activities to disseminate the original creative odori “Kyoen Sodefure!” and regional cooperation events, a grand festival is held every October as the culmination of these activities.
The University Consortium Kyoto has set the goal of “student growth” in the daily activities of the Student Executive Committee, and supports “student independence” so that students can think and act on their own, and supports the students to make the most of what they have accumulated in the course of their activities for one year since the establishment of the Executive Committee in November every year.

FY2016 Regional Revitalization Project

The Kyoto Student Festival has a strong image of a festival centered on odori held in the Okazaki area every October, but in addition to this, we also carry out various activities on a daily basis, such as regional exchange and international exchange, with the aim of “disseminating the charm of Kyoto” and “revitalizing the region.” However, in order to further realize activities in line with these objectives, it is necessary to have a partner who can work hand in hand, not just the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee.
Therefore, we will recruit organizations (partners) that want to “enliven the community together with students” and “want to further convey the appeal of the community with the perspectives and power of students” and promote collaborative projects in a single year. However, the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee is also limited in terms of budget, time, and capacity, and it is expected that the number of organizations that will be rejected or adopted may be infinitely small. Despite this situation, we are looking forward to seeing organizations that can feel the significance of the “Student City Kyoto” created through the collaboration of industry, academia, and the public community, and apply to realize their goals.

・Making staff uniforms for the festival from the student’s point of view in collaboration with Kyoto’s kimono industry, etc.

・In cooperation with beverage companies, we will distribute “Student Festival Original Drinks” on the day of the festival.

■ Local events in collaboration with local governments

Kyoto Student Festival 12/6 (Sun) “Kyo Flame Sodefure! Please come ≪ us≫

To express our gratitude, we will hold the “Kyo Flame Sodefure Festival”!

The 13th Kyoto Student Festival (Main Festival) held on Sunday, October 11 was a great success, with a total of 144,000 people attending. This year’s festival, which is based on the themes of “Kyoto” and “International,” is the culmination of various exchange activities throughout the year, and we have planned a variety of genres such as dance, food, music, and sports. In addition, due to the redevelopment work of Okazaki Park this year, the main stage with the newly reborn Jingu-do in the background of Otenmon was very popular with visitors, and the attractive performances by the students, centered on the powerful stage overlooking the entire venue, created a sense of unity throughout the venue.
We would like to express our gratitude once again to everyone who came to the event and who have been supporting this activity in various fields on a daily basis.
Therefore, to express our gratitude to all of you, we will hold the “Kyoen Sodefure Festival“. There are odori, delicious food, and many children’s projects, making it a place for interaction between Mr./Ms. and generations. Please invite your family and friends to join us. We look forward to seeing you there.
