【Internship】 【Finished】4/20 (Thu) Long-term Project Course Briefing and Consultation (Online)

 

The internship program of the University Consortium Kyoto is a career education program that aims to “stimulate motivation to learn,” “foster a high level of vocational awareness,” and “develop human resources with independence and originality” as part of their studies at the university, rather than as a job hunt.

The long-term project course is a course in which students work on the project theme presented by the internship from mid-June ~ late November.
Students studying at different universities work as a team to achieve the goals of the project while exchanging opinions with the people at the training site, and you can gain a solid problem-solving experience.

In the online information session, you will receive an overview of the course and an explanation of the project theme from each training site!
We will also hold a consultation meeting where you can directly answer questions from Mr./Ms., so please join us.

We are pleased to announce that we will hold a pre-internship program briefing session!
It will be held online, so please feel free to join us from your home.

We will also hold consultation sessions to resolve simple questions and anxieties about practical training.

【The 18th Policy Research Exchange Conference from Kyoto】The winners appeared in “Policy Media”

Mr./Ms. Hayashida, representative of the Noda Seminar Group C of the Faculty of Policy Studies, Doshisha University, who received the University Consortium Kyoto President’s Award and the Japan Society for Public Policy Studies Award at the 18th Policy Research Exchange Conference from Kyoto, is a non-profit (public good) media “Policy Media” specializing in “policy commentary” operated by the Policy Analysis Network (Public-Private Partnership Policy Platform) He appeared in.

The recording began on the afternoon of Sunday, February 26, 2023, and the program proceeded in a one-on-one dialogue with the program host, Hiroaki Chikano (Deputy General Manager of Japan TV’s Economic Department and Commentator).

Mr./Ms. Hayashida was the youngest of the past performers of “Policy Media,” but it was wonderful to see her give a presentation with dignity and respond to various questions from Mr. Chikano by firmly conveying her own opinions.

It was strongly conveyed that this was a presentation and policy proposal that had been created through the efforts of the team.

After the recording, Mr. Chikano, Mr. Susumu Takahashi (Chairman of the Japan Research Institute, Chairman Emeritas), Deputy Director of the Policy Analysis Network, and Mr. Heizo Takenaka (Professor Emeritus, Keio University), the first representative of the program, held a meeting.

We received feedback on the content of the presentations, and there was a lively exchange of opinions with each other.

The video will be released in about a month, so we’ll let you know when it’s released.

【Report】The 20th High School-University Collaborative Education Forum Report has been released.


On Saturday, December 3, 2022, the report collection of the 20th High School-University Collaborative Education Forum “High School-University Collaboration to be Realized through the 2020s: For Students to Become ‘Creators of a Sustainable Society’” has been completed.

【Internship】 【Event Report】Planning for Companies and Organizations_Internship Program Study Group

 

On Friday, February 17, 2023, we held an online seminar on the host training program.
Thank you very much to everyone who attended despite the very busy time at the end of the fiscal year.

In the group discussion after sharing the training schedule, we were able to hear specific stories such as introducing good practices from other companies and organizations and exchanging opinions about the challenges and worries in accepting students, which was very helpful.

In the future, we will continue to work with the host host company and the university to develop the internship program that we are working on at “All Kyoto”.

【Finished】2022 Foundation Designated Research Project Research Report Meeting

The University Consortium Kyoto has established designated research topics for the purpose of contributing to the improvement, review, new development, and sophistication of its projects, and outsources research to researchers in specialized fields.

3. Contents of the report

(1) Research on the role of inter-university collaborative organizations in supporting students with disabilities at universities and other institutions

Summary of Research Academic support for students with disabilities (reasonable accommodations in education, etc.) is an important issue for each university, but at present, there is no small difference in the status of initiatives. On the other hand, due to the nature of the field that is in a transitional period, there is a limit to the accumulation of expertise, know-how, resources, etc. that can be handled by each university alone, so we believe that a scheme in which each university and other institutions work together to solve problems is effective.
The purpose of this research is to investigate and research the efforts of inter-university collaboration organizations to promote support for students with disabilities at each university.

(2) Research on the actual state of long-term community collaboration activities by university students and local organizations in Kyoto City and how to support them

Summary of Research This study objectively clarifies the actual situation of long-term community collaboration activities between university students and local organizations in Kyoto City, and examines how universities and related organizations involved in these activities should provide support in the future.
Specifically, through questionnaires, we will identify student organizations (seminars and university-approved organizations) that are engaged in long-term community collaboration activities in Kyoto City, and clarify the factors and issues that led to the establishment of these organizations in the community, mainly through interviews. In addition, while learning from the knowledge of advanced experiences from all over the country, we will consider the role that universities and their affiliated organizations should play and how to effectively support university students who are engaged in ongoing community collaboration activities.

【Finished】University Consortium Kyoto 2022 Project Implementation Report Meeting

Since its establishment in 1994, the University Consortium Kyoto has developed a variety of advanced and challenging projects in close collaboration with member universities and junior colleges, local communities, industry, business associations, and local governments as the first university consortium organization in Japan and a platform for university and regional collaboration. Currently, we are diligently promoting our business based on the Fifth Stage Plan, which is a five-year medium-term plan from FY2019 to FY2023.

Seminar on Sharing Examples of Internationalization Initiatives by Member Universities

As part of the project to support the globalization of faculty and staff, the Kyoto International Business Department of the University Consortium is working to share examples of efforts by member universities for internationalization.

We are pleased to announce that the International Student Study Kyoto Network (Secretariat: University Consortium Kyoto International Business Department) is planning to hold a member exchange seminar on the theme of “Acceptance of Students from Kyiv, Ukraine”, but at the same time, it will be positioned as a seminar to share examples of efforts for internationalization by the Consortium of Universities Kyoto member universities.

【Theme】

“Support for the acceptance of Ukrainian and Kyiv students, including governments, companies, schools, etc. ~With the voices of those who have actually evacuated~”

Currently, various companies, organizations, schools, etc. in Kyoto City are providing various forms of support to people evacuated from Ukraine, including Kyiv City. The University Consortium Kyoto and the International Student Study Kyoto Network are participating as advisory organizations in the “Ukraine-Kyiv Kyoto Citizen Support Network,” which is organized by Kyoto City, the Kyoto City International Association, and the Kyoto Kyiv Exchange Association.

On the day of the event, we are planning a roundtable discussion with one Ukrainian about his evacuation experience and representatives of various support groups. We hope that this seminar will not only lead to further promotion of support for students in Kyiv, Ukraine, etc., but will also deepen the understanding of students facing various difficulties around the world, and will be of some help as an opportunity to open up many perspectives, such as further raising the international awareness of each member.
