FY2020

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, we have decided to cancel the SD seminar. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

Business Overview

The environment surrounding universities is changing drastically, including the further decline in the number of 18-year-olds, the advent of the 100-year lifespan, Society 5.0 due to the sophistication of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the progress of globalization. University staff are required to have the ability to accurately steer the course with an eye on the next generation, to accurately analyze changes in the environment and the needs of society, and to reflect this in organizational decision-making and the promotion of education and research, which is the social mission.
“Promotion of University Governance Reform” (2014 Summary of Deliberations by the University Subcommittee of the Central Council of Education) cites “the realization of collaboration between the teaching profession through the advancement of administrative staff” and points out the importance of administrative staff participating in university management through “faculty collaboration” on an equal footing with faculty members, and for this purpose, improving planning, communication, and language skills in a more systematic and systematic manner.
In addition, in the “Grand Design of Higher Education for 2040 (Report)” (2018 Central Council on Education), the role of universities in the maintenance and development of the entire region and regional revitalization is important as “the relationship between higher education and society with an eye on 2040.” It is also expected to serve as a base for promoting international exchange in the region and responding to internationalization.
This SD seminar has been held since 2015 and is looking for students in the 6th class. Through attending a total of eight lectures, making presentations at public presentations, and writing a report on completion, we aim to support the development of university staff who will be responsible for the future management of the university autonomously and independently.
We look forward to receiving your application.
