Outline of the event
Since 2005, the Interchange Conference on Universities and Graduate Schools in the Department of Policy Science has been held as a place for research and exchange between students and graduate students who are conducting research to identify and solve problems and issues faced by cities, as well as a place to disseminate their findings to society. The purpose of this program is not only to present the results of daily research, but also to deepen research by interacting with each other and disseminating it to society.

theme Is that a problem?! – Transportation in Kyoto’s tourist spots – substance The goal of this project is to provide students participating in this project with an opportunity to realize that there are many problems that have not surfaced in society.
Kyoto has the charm of Mr./Ms., and behind it lies the problem of Mr./Ms.. This time, we will focus on the traffic problems that occur in tourist spots, and we will hold a panel discussion on the role of public transportation in Kyoto’s tourist spots with students, Keihan Electric Railway Co., Ltd., and Kyoto City to solve the problem. After talking about the respective efforts of Kyoto City and Keihan Electric Railway Co., Ltd. to address transportation issues, we will exchange opinions on the future of public transportation in Kyoto’s tourist destinations.panelist Masaru Maeda (General Manager, Railway Planning Department, Keihan Electric Railway Co., Ltd.)
