Outline of the event

Since 2005, the Interchange Conference on Universities and Graduate Schools in the Department of Policy Science has been held as a place for research and exchange between students and graduate students who are conducting research to identify and solve problems and issues faced by cities, as well as a place to disseminate their findings to society. The purpose of this program is not only to present the results of daily research, but also to deepen research by interacting with each other and disseminating it to society.

theme Participation of young people in the community from the perspective of disaster prevention ~In the wake of the 3.11 earthquake~
substance In response to the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, this project was planned with the aim of encouraging participants to think about the need for young people to participate in the community from the perspective of disaster prevention. The speakers will talk about the disasters that may occur in Kyoto in the future and what they mean for young people’s participation in the community, which will lead to the workshop. In the workshop, students and local people will discuss the participation of young people in the community through disaster prevention, and it is expected that this workshop will be a place for daily interaction between young people and local people.

The 7th Policy Studies Exchange Conference

On the day of the event, a total of 77 presentations (50 oral presentations, 24 panel presentations, and 3 special exhibitions) were presented, and 410 participants listened attentively to research presentations by undergraduate and graduate students in various fields related to urban policy, such as economics, social welfare, and urban development. In addition, the Research Encouragement Award was awarded at the award ceremony for outstanding presentations.
