National University Consortium Council Project (Secretariat Management)

Purpose of Establishment

In recent years, university collaborations and university consortium initiatives have been promoted throughout the country. Collaborative education and research across universities has now become a part of university education as a form of education.
In addition to the universities that are rooted in the region, the University Consortium as a regional organization established against the background of the history, location, and characteristics of the region is also an initiative to realize the development of the university and the revitalization of the region by deeply connecting higher education institutions and the local community.

Today, we are in an era where the quality of higher education is being questioned at a global level, and education and research are being evaluated by society. In other words, it is necessary to respond to the diverse educational needs of society and create distinctive education and research.
In such an era, the University Consortium, which is an important system that constitutes higher education worldwide, has the potential to realize new learning that can only be realized through collaboration and the return of knowledge to society.
In this context, we have established the National University Consortium Council based on the idea of providing a new place for research exchange where content can be shared mutually by replacing the “regional strength” that has been cultivated in each region with “organizational strength” with the aim of developing collaborative education and research in Japan, which is still in the development stage.
