The 21st Kyoto Student Festival Main Visual
(Main visual: Kyoto Seika University 1st year student)

The 21st Kyoto Student Festival was held on Sunday, October 8th. Due to rainy weather on the day of the event, the event was held in a shortened time, but many people came to the event and it was a great success. Thanks to the warm support of everyone involved and supporters of the Kyoto Student Festival, we were able to successfully hold the 21st Kyoto Student Festival. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The 21st Kyoto Student Festival Theme

Fly, fly! ~The power of students who shine in Kyoto~

About the theme

After the 20th commemorative event, the 21st Kyoto Student Festival will once again be a festival of “soaring” toward a new future. For this reason, with the cooperation of industry, academia, the public and local communities, we will make it a “Kyoto Festival by Students” in which Kyoto students take the lead in planning and managing the event, and we will make it a year in which all the executive committee members and related parties of the Kyoto Student Festival can spread their wings and shine through this festival. In addition, by using an expression that calls out “Fly, fly!” instead of the two letters of “fly,” the Kyoto Student Festival will take the lead, calling out to students, and leading students. Through the Kyoto Student Festival, we will energize Kyoto, let visitors enjoy it, and “fly” the Kyoto Student Festival into the “Four Great Festivals of Kyoto.”

The 21st Kyoto Student Festival Annual Activities

The Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee is building cooperative relationships for the festival while expressing our gratitude on a daily basis by interacting with the Okazaki area, where the Kyoto Student Festival is held, and the local people who have been connected with us through our activities so far. In addition to this festival, we aim to be a “festival” that is loved by the community and rooted in the community, and we will carry out daily activities throughout the year together with the local community.

Presentation and delivery class

In various places inside and outside Kyoto Prefecture, Kyo Flame Sodetouche! and lectures (commonly known as visiting classes) at elementary, junior high, high schools, and support schools in Kyoto Prefecture. We are working to make the charm of the Kyoto Student Festival experienced by as many people as possible. This year, Mr./Ms. Stadium by KYOCERA and Teramachi Kyogoku Shopping Street will be performed at Kyo Flame Sode for many people! I was able to touch it.

Community Exchange

We participate as student volunteers at children’s cafeterias in the Okazaki area and conduct night patrols for the safety of the community. We also participate in local festivals and interact with children through play booths. In addition to aiming to revitalize the region, we are working to deepen exchanges with local people and make more people in Kyoto aware of the Kyoto Student Festival.

We are actively engaged in exchange activities with international students studying in Kyoto. We convey the charm of Kyoto to international students, and conversely, we also learn various things from them and give each other inspiration.
This year, we held international student exchange meetings in May and September, and a total of 89 international students participated in the Mr./Ms.. In addition, at the main festival, we carried the Kyo flame mikoshi together and operated a booth.
