FY 2013

Outline of the event

Main

Theme_2013

In recent years, a number of government subsidy projects have been developed to support various collaborations between universities, local communities, industry, etc., and in Heisei 24, the “University Reform Action Plan” was formulated as the basic policy of the national university policy. One of the key issues in this plan is to develop human resources that can respond to globalization, which overlaps with the expectations of the industrial world that universities are required to develop human resources who can work immediately. In addition, the creation of a university that will be the core of regional revitalization is presented as the “Center of Community (COC) concept,” and cooperation between the community and the university and the strengthening of lifelong learning functions are required.
Therefore, the theme of the conference will be “The Role of Universities and the Future of Inter-University Collaboration,” focusing on the future of collaboration and the future of universities, as well as the role of universities that are sought after by local communities and industry.
