Student Support

Student Growth Programs

The University Consortium Kyoto supports students’ daily activities based on the principle of “creating independently” by themselves, and hopes that the “interaction” and “experience” with a wide variety of people that students experience through their own activities will lead to new “awareness” and “learning” that will lead to their growth.
We are working to create a system that promotes the growth of students by promoting the following support methods, adopting the PDCA cycle method, which emphasizes the smooth execution of activities, the improvement of the business, and the continuous development of the business, with the goal of smoothly carrying out the activities, improving the business, and continuing the development of the business, by adopting the PDCA cycle method, which emphasizes the activities of students as a single project, working toward a single goal as a team, and producing results as a team.

Implementation Report

This year marks the 12th anniversary of the Kyoto Student Festival, and based on the concept of “Bringing together and drawing into the stage,” we have been working together to revitalize Kyoto through our annual activities, incorporating not only the thoughts of the executive committee members but also the thoughts of various people who have built up so far. Under the two themes of “regional expansion” and “student expertise,” we aimed to get more people involved in the activities of the Kyoto Student Festival than ever before, get involved in the movement, and make further strides to make it one of the four major festivals in Kyoto.

▼ Regional expansion

On the day of the festival, we held “Roadside Station Kyoto” to collect and sell and showcase special products from all over Kyoto and collaboration products between students and companies, and many exhibitors from areas where we had not interacted before.

▼ Student’s Expertise

At the pre-event, under the theme of learning for students in Kyoto, we held exhibitions, performances, and hands-on corners of the “learning” cultivated by university students in classes and extracurricular activities.

We also implemented the Tohoku Project, which was launched in fiscal 2013 as part of our charity activities, and energetically worked to increase the number of fans throughout Japan beyond the boundaries of Kyoto. Combined with these activities outside of the main festival, we had the opportunity to interact with more than 200 organizations throughout the year, and we were able to involve more people.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who came to the festival venue and to all the parties involved for their support in various fields throughout the year.
