kif_2011_2

The 9th Kyoto Student Festival aims to make everyone involved in the Kyoto Student Festival, including visitors, know the Kyoto Student Festival more deeply.
In order to spread the Kyoto Student Festival, we will establish an original project for the Kyoto Student Festival by improving the quality of the project, strengthen public relations, engage in regional exchanges, and collaborate with industry, academia, and the government, so that the festival will become more and more permeated and supported by the community, so that we can deeply understand the charm of the Kyoto Student Festival.
With the concept of “Fuka-Kyoto Student Festival” based on the concept of “Kyoto Student Festival, where the Kyoto Student Festival is full of student power, we want to penetrate the people of Kyoto and further energize Kyoto,” and we will create a festival where the Kyoto Student Festival is more deeply rooted in Kyoto than ever before.
In addition, we will implement various responses to the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11.
By creating a festival in which everyone involved in the Kyoto Student Festival comes together, we will transmit the students’ passionate desire to lead to the further revitalization of Kyoto from Kyoto to the whole country and the world.

In order to carry out an energizing project that would reach the victims of the earthquake, we aimed to create a project that would bring cheerfulness and smiles to all of Japan by turning the awareness of those who participated and caught their attention to the earthquake and the disaster-stricken areas and victims, helping reconstruction as much as possible.

Kyo Flame Mikoshi

We aim to revitalize Kyoto by carrying the thoughts and wishes of the people on Mikoshi, which is said to carry people’s thoughts and wishes, and the thoughts of the Kyoto Student Festival, which is a new power created by Kyoto, the city of students. Then, by wishing for the well-being of the students and citizens studying in Kyoto, and by carrying the desire to further enliven Kyoto on the Kyo Flame Mikoshi, we will convey that feeling and make it something that will be passed down together with the Kyo Flame Mikoshi.

Interaction between university students and local festivals
By participating in the Kyoto Student Festival and local festivals as mikoshi bearers and enjoying the festival with the participants, we will create a place for community exchange, demonstrate the energy of the students, and enliven the whole of Kyoto.

Community exchange with students and children (Mikoshi creative groups)
We support the creation of “creative mikoshi” by groups participating in parades at kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, and children’s centers in Kyoto.

KYO-SENSE Project

At KYO-SENSE, we will make use of the sensibilities of the students studying in Kyoto, the city of Kyoto, where the Kyoto Protocol was launched, and work to make the festival loved by the local Mr./Ms., the city of Kyoto, and the whole country as an environmentally friendly festival.

kif_2011_5

Last year, as a project of the Regional Division, we disseminated eco-friendly information throughout the year, and on the day of the festival, as a division of the Regional Division, the community, companies, and students came together to propose a sustainable social model that makes use of ancient wisdom and today’s wisdom. This year, we are planning to hold the KYO-SENSE Expo, where students and the local community will come together on the day of the festival to promote eco-friendliness.

Community Exchange Activities

Night patrols in the area
In the Okazaki area, which is used as a venue, night patrols are held on the 20th of every month. In recognition of our efforts, we received a security stick and a security jumper from the Kawabata Crime Prevention Association in 2007. In addition, on the 5th of every month, it is also held in the Anyeong and Meiyu areas, which are the places of activity. We will continue to patrol for the safety and revitalization of the community.

Participation in local summer festivals
We are helping with the summer festival in the Anyeong and Umeyo areas of Motoanyeong Elementary School, which we use as a base for activities, and the summer festival in the Okazaki area. In addition, at summer festivals in other regions, Kyo Flame Sodefure! We are showing off.
