With regard to “Plaza Courses,” which are credit transfer and Kyoto College courses offered at Campus Plaza Kyoto, and the University Consortium Kyoto Internship Program, the following criteria are set for suspending classes and exams when a storm warning, special warning, or special warning is issued, or when transportation is suspended due to a disaster or strike. Please follow the criteria and make your own judgment. Regarding (3), classes and examinations may be suspended at the discretion of the University Consortium Kyoto, but in that case, we will inform you separately. For “on-campus courses” offered on the campuses of universities and junior colleges, please follow the instructions of each university or junior college.

 

1. Criteria for Suspension of Classes and Exams

If any of the following (1), (2), or (3) applies, classes and examinations will be suspended or postponed. Please check the status of the issuance and cancellation of warnings and the operation status of public transportation on TV and radio media outlets or the website of the Japan Meteorological Agency.

(1) Issuance of warnings

Special warnings in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture or the Kyoto-Kameoka area (secondary subdivision area), warnings positioned as special warnings, or
When a storm warning is issued

(2) Suspension of transportation

Two or more of the following (1) ~ (5) applicable transportation systems are completely or partially suspended at the same time.
In case of non-driving

(1) Kyoto City Bus and Kyoto Municipal Subway (all routes)

(2) JR (conventional lines to and from Kyoto Station)

(3) Keihan Railway (between Demachiyanagi ~ Yodoyabashi or Nakanoshima)

(4) Hankyu Train (Kawaramachi ~ Umeda)

(5) Kintetsu Train (Kyoto ~ Yamato Seidaiji)

(3) Others

Regardless of the above criteria, when the University Consortium Kyoto deems it difficult to conduct classes and examinations.

 

2. Standards for Conducting Classes and Examinations

When a special warning, a warning classified as a special warning, or a storm warning is lifted, or when transportation resumes, classes and examinations will be conducted according to the following criteria.
In addition, if an alert is issued during class or exam, in principle, the class or exam being held will not be suspended or postponed, but will be suspended or postponed from the next period.

3. Measures to be taken after class suspension or postponement of exams

Make-up classes due to class suspensions and test dates due to exam suspensions should be coordinated with faculty members and the university providing the course.
We will inform you on e-Kyoto Learning and the bulletin board on the 1st floor of Campus Plaza Kyoto.
