So that you don’t freeze when people from overseas ask, “What kind of country is Japan?”
Let’s understand the culture of Kyoto and your own country, and give a presentation in English!
If you are a student who is planning to study abroad, if you want to explain Kyoto and Japan to people overseas, or
if you want to send information in English from Kyoto, please feel free to apply!

* Those who have completed this training will be appointed by Kyoto City to promote the charms of Kyoto to the world when studying abroad.
You can be appointed as a “Kyoto PR Student Ambassador”. ◎ Outline of “Presentation of Kyoto in English” *To understand the traditional culture of Kyoto and Japan, learn English expressions about culture, and be able to give presentations
We will conduct 6 half-day training sessions to become a teacher.
* Learn expressions about Kyoto’s tourist attractions and traditional culture in English.
* Experience traditional culture (tea ceremony and flower arrangement) and also take an excursion to the scenic spot “Wuzhen” (English explanation available).
*A final presentation will be held.

* Scheduled training days (6 sessions in total) Venue: Campus Plaza Kyoto 13:30~17:00 (with breaks)

　　Saturday, June 1, 2019: (1) Expressing Kyoto in English (2) Let’s experience and understand the traditional culture tea ceremony in a tea room
　　Saturday, June 8, 2019: (1) International Student Session (2) Experience and Understand Traditional Culture of Flower Arrangement
　　Saturday, June 22, 2019: Lecture and tour at the scenic garden “Wuzhen” (local dismissal)
　　Saturday, June 29, 2019: Group English Presentation
　　Saturday, July 6, 2019: Personal English Presentation

◎ Eligibility: Students must meet all of the following conditions.
■ Be a student at a member university or junior college of the University Consortium Kyoto (undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degree is not required)
■ Ability to participate in all basic training
■ Those who are interested in international exchange and cross-cultural understanding
■ English level One of the following applies:
　　　　IELTS 5.0, TOEFL iBT 63, TOEIC 650 or higher　　

◎ Recruitment capacity　
■ About 20 people
■ Expenses: 5,000 yen in total (including reference materials and all actual expenses for exercises)
