Business Overview
University Consortium Kyoto (hereinafter referred to as the “Foundation”). Since its establishment in 1994, member universities and junior colleges (hereinafter referred to as “member schools”) have been operating as member universities. In cooperation with local governments and economic organizations in the Kyoto area, we have been working on a variety of advanced and challenging projects ahead of consortium organizations nationwide.
On the other hand, a quarter of a century has passed since the foundation’s establishment, and due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection that broke out in early 2020, the social and higher education situation surrounding the foundation and its member schools has changed dramatically.
Based on this situation, the Foundation has entrusted research that contributes to solving project issues to faculty and staff of member schools who specialize in the relevant fields under the “Designated Survey Projects” that began in fiscal 2015, and uses the results to review, improve, develop new projects, and upgrade them.
*The affiliation and title of the principal investigator are as of the time of adoption.
About the Designated Survey Topics
In response to the formulation of the Foundation’s medium-term plan, the Stage 6 Plan (FY2024-2028), the “Designated Research Projects” that have been implemented since the 4th stage will be dissolved as “Joint Research and Research Projects” from FY2025, such as expanding the scope of the survey research projects in order to contribute to the further development of member schools and the Kyoto region more than ever before.
