About us
The Kyoto International Student Film & Video Festival is the largest international student film festival in Japan. It is entirely organized and run by university students in Kyoto. We receive student’s works from all over the world, and provide an opportunity to screen, and discover new talent.
Kyoto is the birthplace of Japanese movies and is also known as students’city. The festival strings these two characteristics together, and also offers forum for cultural and international exchange and ultimately vitalizes Kyoto.

Tukiko, who is more sensitive to pain than others works in an Elementary school. She has such a painful life. Students who are far away from her ideal, parents, insensitive colleagues, and a stalker who obsessively keeps stalking her. Even her best friend Mayu enjoys her cheesy ” shotgun marriage”. What a cringy…
There is only a way left for Tukiko, or is it??
This was Akiko Ohku’s directorial debut, which served as a director, screenplay, and starring. Her other films are ” Tremble All You Want ” and ” Hold Me Back”.

≪Synopsis≫100 years ago, a diver died in the ocean. Revived by corals which grew on his helmet, he first tried to escape. However, the diver found shelter in a coral reef, and decided to stay and take care of it. Decades passed and numberous changes to the ocean have not only affected the reef but also himself. He has passed on his legacy before he died yet again.

This film is a self-documentary, me following myself in the wonderland of tokyo being drunk with the fusion of the Rakugo’s technique ” Douchuzuke” and pop culture.
